Village Christian School

We are delighted that you have taken the time to visit and learn about Village Christian School. For most of our 65-year history, VCS has been one of the largest and most prominent Christian schools in the country. In the coming years, our goal is to be the most innovative Christian school in the United States.

We Believe

…the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

…that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

…in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

…that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

…in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and by whose infilling the believer is equipped for service.

…in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

…in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.

National Blue Ribbon School
In 2003, Village Christian School was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. The primary criteria for this distinction is for a school to have standardized test scores in the top 10% of the nation in both reading and math.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges
Village Christian School is accredited by WASC, one of six regional associations that accredit public and private secondary school colleges, and universities in the United States. Our current standing is a six-year term without a mid-term visit, meaning the school received the maximum term, evidence that is a trustworthy place of learning and little, if any, additional support is needed for implementation, monitoring and accomplishment of the school’s action plan in between WASC visits.

CESA (Council on Educational Standards and Accountability)
Village Christian School is the first California school to be admitted as a Member of Council to the prestigious CESA organization.CESA is an organization of the most well-respected Christian schools in the country. Its goal is to create standards for excellent Christian education and hold schools accountable to meeting them. In addition, CESA provides a network of Christian-school leaders who are committed to helping each other and to improving the international Christian-school movement.
