San Luis Obispo High School, which opened in 1895, is one of three high schools in the San Luis Coastal Unified School District. The SLOHS campus is located on the east side of San Luis Obispo, nestled against the coastal foothills, providing a sweeping view of the city from the upper campus.
In studying at SLOHS, students are prepared to explore their career goals, whether their plan is to attend college or join the workforce after high school. SLOHS provides six curricular pathways to meet the needs of all students.
The mission of SLOHS is to engage all students in a challenging and comprehensive educational program that will empower them to succeed with integrity and competence in an ever changing world.
SLOHS athletes have distinguished themselves and brought recognition to the school for many years. The school, the community, the parents and the athlete will be judged on the way he or she conducts himself or herself both on and off the field of play. Much will be demanded of the athlete, but the rewards as a team and as an individual will be great. SLOHS athletes compete in the CIF Southern Section.
