San Joaquin Memorial High School

San Joaquin Memorial High School is a private Catholic high school located in Fresno, California, in the heart of San Joaquin Valley.

Founded in 1945, Memorial is the only Catholic high school in the greater Fresno area that is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno. With a current enrollment of 600 students, SJMHS is proud to offer students both a diverse and challenging curriculum designed to provide a thorough education rooted in the Catholic faith.

When Memorial students graduate, they are fully equipped to deal with the rigors of even the most select universities. The school emphasizes the importance of understanding the value of knowledge and critical inquiry. And, as a college preparatory high school, SJMHS students excel through challenging honors and Advanced Placement courses. Memorial is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Western Catholic Education Education Association (WCEA)

Advanced Placement: There are currently seventeen AP courses offered at SJM; students are permitted to enroll in up to four AP courses per semester. Courses are a year in length unless otherwise noted.

Memorial has an excellent athletic program and the school competes in the County/Metro Athletic Conference of the CIF Central Section.
