Christian High School (of Christian Unified Schools San Diego), founded in 1965 by Tim LaHaye, pioneered private evangelical Christian secondary education in San Diego County. With its tradition of academic, athletic, and artistic excellence Christian High School (CHS) created a prototype for Christian schools nationwide. CHS provides a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum for a diverse population of students including a dynamic International Program. Located in San Diego’s East County, CHS represents a variety of communities, ranging from neighboring rural areas to Mexico border cities. The large number of students receiving tuition grants reflects CHS’s commitment to provide access to private Christian education for all.
CHS is continually honored throughout the community by earning first place and superior ratings in curricular and co-curricular programs including student publications, academic competitions and fine arts. Over 75% of our student body participates in athletics and 11 of our 19 athletic teams have won California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championships over the past decade.
Recognizing the preeminence of Christ, partnering with parents, Christian Unified Schools of San Diego teaches students to think, learn, and live from a Biblical worldview by integrating God and His Word as the primary source of knowledge and truth.

As coaches our goal is to win, but that is not the only goal. We want to help our young people have success in life, long after their athletic careers are over. We want to assist parents in instilling life skills and values in our athletes, realizing that playing in a team setting is a great way to learn about life. Ultimately, we want to honor God with our play and in all that we do.
