Bloomington Christian School (BCS) has been serving the Inland Empire since 1968 as a Christian educational institution.  What sets Bloomington Christian School apart in the realm of Christian education?

We believe we have distinctive qualities academically, spiritually, culturally, and socially that help us shape children into the next generation of Christian leadership.

Academically

Bloomington Christian is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We are a college preparatory school that offers Christian curriculum that challenges our students to think critically and creatively. We give students the opportunity to prepare for the SAT or ACT by taking the PSAT9, PSAT10, and PSAT while attending Bloomington Christian. In addition, Bloomington Christian offers dual enrollment through Grand Canyon University where students have the chance to take both college general education classes and high school courses. Since the inception of this program, we have had many alumni graduate in under four years from the university of their choice because they have taken classes through our dual enrollment program.

Spiritually

We are pleased that everything we do at Bloomington Christian School is based on Christian values. In addition to daily Bible classes, Bloomington Christian offers impactful weekly chapels and an annual Revival Week. Keeping in mind that our mission is to “Build Bridges of Christ Love to our World Through Christian Education,” we offer mission trips and service projects for our students to participate in throughout the year. Each year our senior class goes on a spiritual retreat that refreshes and encourages them to be student leaders at Bloomington Christian. Our students support missions projects including contributing to purchasing wells in Haiti and creating Crisis Care Kits to be distributed to people around the world who are facing disaster situations like earthquakes, floods, and terrorist attacks. Through our sponsoring church, The Bridge, our students have the opportunity to go to Summer Camps, Vacation Bible School, and Winter Retreats. The Bridge Church also invites our students to attend weekly Wednesday night meetings hosted at the school campuses; elementary students can go to KIDZ Zone, the children’s ministry, and the 7th-12th graders can go to The SLAM Youth Group.

Culturally

We pride ourselves in being one of the most diverse schools in our region. From our students to our administration, Bloomington Christian is very is welcoming of all cultural backgrounds. Between our mission trips and international students, our student body has the opportunity to continually learn about other nations and cultures. We have 25 international students attending our school from countries from around the world including China, Korea, Spain, Thailand, and Vietnam. Bloomington Christian has a number of annual celebrations including an Around the World Luncheon, the joy of Christmas, the victory of Resurrection Sunday, Black History Month, Red Ribbon Week, Veterans Day, Law Officer Enforcement Day, and School Choice Week. Many of our high school students help distribute food at our sponsoring church, The Bridge, on a regular basis.

Socially

As a graduation requirement we expect our high school students to serve others with a minimum of 50 community service hours each year enrolled at Bloomington Christian. Throughout the year, our different classes, National Honors Society, and Elementary Leadership Club minister to local convalescent homes, other social entities in our community, and ministries within our sponsoring church, The Bridge. Bloomington Christian has many social activities for our students to participate in, including a historical trip to Washington DC, mission trips, pep rallies, dances, festivals, school skate nights, our annual Spring Blowout at Knott’s Berry Farm, clubs, various after school activities, and many field trips scheduled throughout the year. In addition we have CIF sporting events that everyone can attend and watch, including Friday Night Lights Football for every home football game, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, and track and field meets. Our junior high teams play most of the same sports as our high school teams, including tackle football.

Bloomington Christian offers top notch education with an extensive academic program. We believe in preparing our young adults by combining adaptive teaching methods with modern technology.
